There are three operating uranium mines in Australia: Ranger in Northern Territory, Olympic Dam in South Australia, and Beverley with Four Mile in South Australia. Four Mile has final processing through the Beverley plant. Honeymoon was shut down in 2013 pending improved uranium prices, and the main Beverley (and North Beverley) wellfields were also shut down soon after that. (October 2014)

ERA is Australia's largest and the world’s fourth largest uranium producer, exporting its product to Asia, Europe and North America, solely for use in nuclear power facilities for the generation of electricity. ERA is 68.4% owned by Rio Tinto Australia.
 
BHP Billiton

BHP Billiton Limited (BHP) is the worlds largest diversified resources group.  Core avtivites comprise production and distribution of minerals, mineral products and potroleum.  BHP is a 100% owner of Olympic Dam mine in South Australia where it mines copper, cathodes, uranium oxide, gold and silver bullion.  Olympic Dam is Australia's second largest producing uranium mine.
 
Heathgate Resources

Heathgate Resources Pty Ltd is a private Australian company and the owner of Beverly mine located in South Australia.  Bevery is Australia's third largest producing uranium mine and is Australia's largest In-Situ Leach mine.  Heathgate Resources is an affiliate of General Attomins based in California, USA.
 
Rio Tinto

Rio Tinto Limited (RIO) is a diversified mining company holding a portfolio of  interests in aluminium, copper, diamonds, gold, coal, iron ore and industrial minerals. Rio Tinto is the third largest mining company in the world and has uranium interests through Australia's Energy Resources Australia (ERA) and the Rossing uranium mine in Namibia.
 
Paladin Resources

Paladin Resources Limited (PDN) is a uranium exploration and mining company with projects located in Africa and Australia.  Paladin's current focus is on its African projects, including development of Langer Heinrich in Namibia and Kayelekera in Malawi. Paladin also holds 81.8% in Australian company Summit Resources (SMM) which holds uranium interests in Queensland.
 
Mintails Limited

Mintails Limited (MLI, formerly Gaming and Entertainment Group Limited) is involved in the development, processing and production of gold and uranium from "mining tailings" located on the West and East Rand areas of the Witwatersrand Basin, near Johannesburg, South Africa.

Black Range Minerals Limited (BLR, formerly Black Range Minerals NL and Uranium Australia NL) is a minerals exploration company, focused on growth through acquisition, exploration and development.  Black Range Minierals has interests in the Tailor Ranch uranium project in Colorado and Eagle Uranium and Cyclone Ridge project's in Wyoming in the USA.
